The Pediatric Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program serves patients with chronic lung and breathing diseases, including those with ventilator dependence who require post-acute hospitalization. Comprehensive care is provided in order to achieve improved health and maximal functional abilities in an effort to provide a smooth transition to home. Patients may be admitted from home or from an acute care hospital.
We provide services in a family-centered, subacute inpatient environment as well as in outpatient and home care settings (through Mt. Washington Pediatric Home and Community Care) to ensure continuous and cost effective care. In addition, we collaborate and consult closely with a variety of specialists from local university teaching hospital and are closely affiliated with the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology at The Johns Hopkins Children's Center.
